Collection Description

The entire collection contains historical files, administrative files, photographs, and audiovisual materials of the San Diego Symphony Orchestra from 1931 to 2002.

Photographs of musicians, conductors, and vocalists form the greater part of the digital collection at present, with concert, organizational, and publicity pictures. For many of these images, context, subjects, photographer and date are unknown. Dating back to 1910, the San Diego Symphony Orchestra is designated a Tier 1 Orchestra by the League of American Orchestras.
