The 19th-century compiler of the family papers, Miguel Cervantes, put together this 1st folder, in Volume 1, relating to a parcel of land amounting to about 211.5 acres, one caballeria being the amount granted to a horse soldier. It was granted to Juan de Rueda by the viceroy of Mexico, Luis de Velasco.
