Photographer's mate Effron has personalized stationery with a cartoon of "shooting the Navy" and the Seabees emblem. He writes, "I recently saw a small Marine tank named 'The Aztec'" (San Diego State College nickname) but was unable to investigate. He encloses a "clipping about the University of Michigan Newsletter (not preserved with this letter). Lauren Post's guess as to his whereabouts was incorrect.
