Roberta Salper is interviewed by Emily Sapp via telephone. Due to technical problems, the conversation is stopped and restarted several times. After answering demographic questions, Salper describes how she came to be involved in the Women's Studies Department at SDSU as the first full-time faculty member in the department. She discusses the rarity of female professors in the late 60s. She taught at SDSU for just one year, 1970-71.
