This project is an exploration in fine art to make an artist's book based on my interest in postcolonial theory, which includes writings on Orientalism, colonialism, and racial mimicry. The methods used in my book Speaking Subaltern were printmaking for the rendition of the figures, and photopolymer letterpress for the printing of the text. In this project I attempt to analyze the traces and influences of Orientalist's ideology and colonial power-dominance in the shaping of my identity as a postcolonial artist.
