Description
The focus of the thesis project is to develop a teaching tool which would provide the capability for teachers to create their lessons on a website by uploading digital media which could be audio, video or images using a web user interface. This learning tool enables interactive learning capability and provides online social networking for students as well as teachers. The motivation behind this thesis project was to create a tool for learning the Punjabi language which is an Indian language. The tool was mainly designed for teachers to interact with Indian students who are born in the U.S. and want to learn their native language and about their culture. But later this project was expanded to support more than fifty languages and is not just a tool for Punjabi teacher's but also can be used by teachers of any language. This project also has a lot of scope for enhancements and customization to support a variety of users.
