Description
This master's thesis is focused on providing a software solution for the San Diego State Sports Department to track budget and game-schedule information. This solution will help department people to manage, track and report information through a database system, thereby replacing pen and paper. The thesis also provides a comparative qualitative analysis on rich internet application frameworks like Adobe Flex, JavaFX and Microsoft Silverlight. The product has been designed along the lines of a multi-tier architecture using open source technologies like Flex, Restlets, and MySql, keeping in mind features and upgrades in the future. This project will help to serve the administrative personnel with better control of classified information in day to day activities. The main motive behind this project is to develop a user friendly system which keeps track of budget, transaction records and athletic schedules.
