ClassTA is an AJAX-based course management system. It is designed to assist educators and students to support virtual teaching and learning. As ClassTA uses AJAX methodology, Web pages are updated asynchronously, which helps in improving user responsivenss. It, also has an easy to use interface. In the recent past, social networking has become very famous and is used by many people. It is being used for personal purposes, business, marketing, and educational applications. The purpose of this thesis is to integrate the concept of social networking, among students, into ClassTA. Friend Finder project serves this by providing an interface for students of ClassTA to search for their study-mates based on certain criteria. It allows students to search for friends within a class. Students can also set the importance level for each criterion before searching for a friend. This thesis also provides an interface to display user's profile in roster and blog discussion of ClassTA.
