This is footage of the 1995 parade (dated July 15, 1995) starting from the initial motorcycle run, taken from the 6th Avenue turning near the end at Pennsylvania. Starting at about 15 minutes there is an interview with Morris Kight while his art gallery was being set up at the weekend's festival in Balboa Park. Kight speaks of LGBT marches and confrontations with police, the artists and art being exhibited. Later there is a tour of the Lesbian and Gay Historical Society of San Diego (now Lambda Archives) and GLLO Art Gallery booths. Morris Kight was a political activist involved in many civil rights and labor movements. He founded the Gay Liberation Front in Los Angeles in 1969, the third in the country, and cofounded the Christopher Street West gay pride parade in LA in 1970, the Stonewall Democratic Club in 1975, and other organizations and events.
