Larry McCaffery interviews Mark Leyner in Leyner’s house in Hoboken, New Jersey. They begin with a discussion of the success of Leyner’s book My Cousin, My Gastroenterologist. They discuss the notion of what the “canon” means for a younger, post-modern generation. Leyner discusses in-depth the influence of pop culture on his writing.
