A PJeistocene mollusc assemblage of ap-pro' x±mately 30 s-pecies was collected from a basal conglomerate in the Bay Point Formation at Tourmalin• Canyon, San Diego, California. The total assemblage a-ppears to be composed of fou:rr diffel!'ent conrponents; a rocky shore inte1rtidal life assemblage, material derived from a bl,\Y, or e,stuarine e11vironmen1t,, material derived from deeper wate-r offshore, and mate:rial rewo:uked .from the underlying San Diego Formation. Correlation is made with UCLA locality 3605 by similarity of fossil assemblage and terrace level.
