A bioinformatics software tool to help identify characteristics in genomic mutations of Multi-drug Resistant, Pre-Extensively Drug-Resistant, and Extensively Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis has been developed. DESTAC is an online data mining tool that provides the genomic information necessary to support the analysis of drug resistance in TB strains collected by Global Consortium for Drug-resistant TB Diagnostics. The tool will be used to assist researchers in their analysis of the probable causes of drug resistance and drug susceptibility of the Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolates based on the mutations in the nucleotide sequence, the position of the mutations within the genome, the genes involved with the mutations, and the number of isolates that has the same mutations and drug resistances.
