Description
My work is primarily concerned with our connections with the environments that define our habitations, examining the residual traces found in objects, places and spaces. It seeks to establish the physical connection between our past and present experiences by redeeming the by products of our day to day lives as these have a very real connection of who we are as a whole. Our domestic, social, commercial, and social residue in a sense tell a communal story of our past and present. This narrative is so easily by-passed by our preoccupation with the activities that define our normal daily schedules. We do not have time to consider the residue that our very activities leave behind. Though they sometimes tell a personal story, the more relevant picture is that they do tell of our communal story which may one day be very significant to a future generation.
