Description
The purpose of this study is to understand what personalized learning instruction looks like in three school sites from one district. Further, the researcher will explore how district leaders coordinate the implementation of a personalized learning model across multiple school sites in the same district. In order to prepare future ready students, there needs to be a shift away from the one-size-fits-all approach to a more personalized instructional model that can adequately meet the needs of all students. This study includes the district superintendent, assistant superintendent, senior director of academies, three principals, and 35 teachers from across the district. The principals and teachers work at school sites with unique instructional models that collectively represent the pedagogical diversity across the district. The data collection methods and procedures used in this qualitative case study included interviews, focus groups, document review, and field notes.
