Description
The primary purpose of this thesis is to make it convenient for the user to understand the structure of .dbf files in their own language and to make people aware about foreign languages. The main foundation of the thesis is based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS). A GIS tool has been developed to translate text in English language into text in Hindi or any other language using a Google Translator API (Application Programming Interface) so that people from different nationalities can understand their own culture, allowing user to select the layer/legend of their choice from the table of contents and they can see attribute table data in English, Hindi or any other language. A tool has been created from scratch in the Java programming language along with MOJO (Map object Java Object) provided by ESRI (Environmental Systems Research Institute) that is the organization that provides the GIS software, which displays the Hindi version of .dbf content. Also, developed a link containing information about famous Indian temples in the USA. This application will tell users about the famous Indian Temples in states of the USA
