Description
The Thesis Focuses on creation and manipulation of Oracle georaster table/database objects using Oracle Map builder and SDO_GEOR with an educational tutorial as the product for SDSU students. This will be an effective learning document for students for providing how raster data such as geographic pictures of mountains, deserts, and states etc. are stored in database and import into Map builder with details of different features provided. Oracle Map Builder is a standalone application that lets you create and manage the mapping metadata (about styles, themes, and base maps) that is stored in the database. You can also import your own photo/ images. Simply select a template in Map Builder, edit the map using a few mouse clicks, and you will have an interactive map ready to use with your color settings, text, and links. Finally, visualizing raster data in oracle map viewer. Thesis will also include manipulating raster objects by performing different operations such as generating pyramids (different resolutions), sub setting (clipping), Geo referencing etc. Details of all these analysis and research will be submitted in an educational document which will be helpful for students to learn and understand.
