Lengthy hand calculations have been required by the San Diego State College Astronomy Department for the determination of sun centered orbital elements. A computer program for the determination of preliminar heliocentric orbital elements is offered using a slightly modified version of the Gauss and Olbers' computational schemes. Results indicate that program utilization represents a time savings factor of approximately fifteen during computation of the elements and yields good results compared with two shown hand computed sample orbits.
