Television (TV) has been used in various ways by many educational institutions for a number of years. Over the years, educational television facilities continued to grow and expand. In fact, there are over 200 educational television stations and at least 1,000 closed-circuit (CCTV) systems presently used in one way or another for teaching purposes. As more and larger educational television facilities develop across the country, new and different ideas will likewise develop on how to use TV. Some of these ideas will be successful and beneficial while others will be unsuccessful. The successful ideas should be made available so that others can effectively utilize similar ideas in their own programs. By the same token, the unsuccessful ideas should also be made known so that others will not waste money and man-hours, and still come up with, at best, ineffective programs.
