In writing this thesis, it has been my intent to reproduce in a logical order the events leading to the present status of industrial arts at San Diego State College. This study comprises the period from 1898 to 1953. During this period San Diego Normal School, later to become known as San Diego State Teachers College, and presently San Diego State College, has shown a steady and almost continuous growth. It is the purpose of this study to give the reader a better understanding of the general growth of industrial arts at San Diego State College.
