Statement of the problem. It was the purpose of this study to develop a series or resource units to aid in making the course of plane geometry more practical than it is generally taught today. It was believed that this more practical geometry will better meet the needs of the potential college student. The main emphasis in the resource units was to develop a list of problems and exercises in geometry which have practical application in everyday life. Other activities in plane geometry which have everyday life application were included. Some films and film-strips of practical value were listed. Some elements of algebra and trigonometry, where best illustrated by geometry, were included. There was no attempt to develop a complete course of study for plane geometry. Some aids and suggestions for the teacher were included.
