For several years a degree of uncertainty has existed regarding the areas of responsibility of the various administrative organizations concerned with the operation of the interscholastic athletic program in the San Diego Unified School District. The lack of clear understanding of administrative interrelationships is indicated by the following statement: The relationship of the director of physical education to the Athletic Council, the City League and the High School Principals seems not to be entirely clear.
