Statement of the problem. The purpose of this study was (1) to attempt to find how young people leaving the Sweetwater Union High School fit into its community occupations, (2) to aid in finding out how the school can improve its curricular and guidance services to young people, (3) to help find the reasons why young people leave school before graduation, (4) to aid in finding how many of the young people continued their education or some phase of training, and (5) to help determine the holding power of the Sweetwater Union High School.
