Scenic design painting by Salzer for Act III, scene I of "The Saint of Bleecker Street". The sets were originally designed for the 1973 production by the Baltimore City Opera Company and subsequently licensed by several other productions, including the New York City Opera in 1976. This matboard is inscribed "Saint of Bleeker St. NY City Opera", but it is unknown if this painting was created for the New York production, or a reuse of the earlier Baltimore artwork.
