Mixed media on paper. Original artwork for a poster advertising Beeb Salzer's joint exhibition of drawings with Sarah Swenson (aka Sarah Belchetz-Swenson) at the Van Bovenkamp Gallerie in New York City. The poster is a portrait of a Deborah Salzer seated on a drafting chair, with each artist responsible for half of the portrait and their signature below. Sarah Swenson was Deborah Salzer's sister and Beeb Salzer's sister-in-law. The left half is by Salzer in ink and watercolor and the right half is by Swenson in pen and ink. Salzer's work is corrected and his signature highlighted using white ink, while Swenson's work is corrected with erasure marks and two original placements of her signature are pasted over with a blank piece of paper and a signed piece of paper. Printed text is cut out and pasted vertically along both the right and left edges of the poster, "Drawings at the Van Bovenkamp Gallerie 18 West 55th Street N.Y.C. Opening Dec 6th 3-6 pm to Dec. 30th." The Van Bovenkamp Gallerie was operated by brothers Hans and Gerrit Van de Bovenkamp from 1963-1965. It was later acquired by Sandra Zimmerman.
