Description
The aim of this project is to build an intuitive and robust GIS (Geographic Information systems) Tool, which gives an outlook on the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) countries economy over the years. This project gives all the necessary information like Gross Domestic Product (GDP), major exported items and major source of income. The BRICS members are all newly industrialized countries, but they are distinguished by their large, fast-growing economies and significant influence on regional and global affairs. This tool makes a better study about the economic growth of these countries. The geographical locations of the summits are highlighted. When the required point is selected, details of that particular summit are shown, along with an image associated with it. The details include a brief description of the event, the location and date of the event. To provide extra details, a hotlink is also available. This is a link to a webpage (Ex Wikipedia), which provides extra information about the event. The tool has been developed in JAVA. The major features shown on the World map was designed using MOJO (Map Objects Java Objects). Statistical data analysis is done through R-programming. This tool is developed for educational purpose and hence its interface has been kept simple and easy to use so that students can gain maximum knowledge through it.
