Mobile technology and the use of mobile devices have increased tremendously within the past few years. This thesis demonstrates development of a mobile phone application using the Google Android operating system, illustrating the architecture of Android. This is a user friendly application which allows one to avoid danger on the San Diego State campus with just two clicks. The motivation behind this thesis is to create an application on Android for Safety dynamically using Google Maps API and Android Java. This application provides an interactive GUI, enabling users to provide geo-spatial location sensitive data to the application to create an automated message, along with the current location details. The application is useful when an individual is at an unknown place or where the visibility is very poor, thereby stating that the person won't be able to give any geographic information over the phone to be rescued.
