Sepia image of a color mural depicting the signing of the Declaration of Independence. MacGurrin noted "The mood portrayed is of much dignity and firm, calm resolution." One of ten murals depicting events in the history of California. They were originally created for the Los Angeles County Hall of Records in 1936 and 1937. All were removed from the building prior to its demolition on July 7, 1973. All are believed to be in storage for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
