This view looks back along Mariposa Street toward the southwest from the dome of the Fresno County Courthouse (1875) at Van Ness. Midway along Mariposa on the left is a sign for "Bunker & Colson Drugs" on the side of a building. There are streetcar tracks, pedestrians and horse-drawn vehicles on Mariposa, and in front of the courthouse a mall. The publisher's number 1202 is in the lower left corner.
