In the off season, the first floor of the Venice auditorium built by Venice of America entrepreneur Abbot Kinney was converted to the Venetian Gardens, in which refreshments were served while Ellery's Royal Italian Band played. Here clouds obscure the moon while the auditorium is lit up as it stands on the Abbot Kinney Pier built in 1905. The publisher's number F215 is at the bottom of the divided back along with the railroad-promotion motto "On the Road of a Thousand Wonders." The approximate date is 1910.
