This aerial view of the Venice Pier and surrounding area shows a beacon from the tower of the Venice Auditorium, the lowest floor of which was turned into the Venetian Gardens with refreshments and a band during the off season. The boardwalk on the left is just beyond the Auditorium, which is to the left of the Ship Cafe, a structure meant to resemble Juan Cabrillo's Spanish galleon, also a hotel.
