The image on the front of the card is a stream falling over boulders into a pool of water in a wooded area with trees and ferns, north of California Highway 74. The publisher's number is printed on the bottom left side of the dividing line on the back of the postcard: 3509. The back of the card is divided but with room on the left for a return address only. These cards, mostly made in Germany like this one, saw production mainly between 1906 and 1908. The white space on the right (here stained) was for messages. The approximate date is 1907.
