The focus of the map was to show how it was "easy to get to Murrieta Hot Springs, California's greatest health resort," as the top and bottom margins spell out. The divided back has a long advertisement for the "new Class A fireproof hotel" that nearly fills the message panel. The approximate date is 1920.
