The card was made in Germany, which circumscribes the dates, given that divided backs like this one were not permitted until 1907, and around 1914 cards were no longer made in Germany. The slogan on the back, "On the Road Of A Thousand Wonders" indicates that this card was part of a promotion for the Coast Line-Shasta Route of the Southern Pacific Railroad.
