The postcard depicts cattle grazing in an open green field. There is no attribution of a publisher, but the number at the bottom of the dividing line on the back is a typical place for publisher, creator, and printer Curt Teich to place his date code, A-42335. According to the guide maintained by the Curt Teich Postcard Archives, this number refers to postcards made in 1913. A short descriptive paragraph on the back reads: "Imperial Valley is the paradise of live stock. It will support more cattle per acre the year around than any other country in the world."
