Grauman's Chinese Theatre (later TCL Chinese Theatre) is the prominent building on the left, with the the First National Bank in the distance. The theater opened in 1927. On the right is a banner for Colleen Moore in "The Church Mouse," which opened at the El Capitan Theater in 1929. A banner across Hollywood Boulevard is mirror image here but reads "Grand Hotel," the title of a movie that opened in 1932. This picture postcard was created by a process in which any photographer could take a "snapshot," deliver the negative to a photo developer and have it printed on a postcard backing. The Dops papers used for this photograph were issued from 1925-1942, according to the letters bordering the stampbox on the back. The publisher's number after the title on the bottom is 920.
