The homes of Hollywood movie stars have traditionally been in and around Beverly Hills, California, and they have been the objects of tours and the subjects of postcards. In this case the actor is Will Rogers (1879-1935), a prominent humorist, vaudevillian, and writer. This picture postcard has a white border, popular from about 1913-1932. There are two numbers on the card, one at the top with the title (798), and one on the bottom right, handwritten (14317). In 1928, Rogers sold his house in Beverly Hills and moved to the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles.
