Images of two prominent buildings on 6th Avenue in San Diego. On 6th and A is the San Diego Athletic Club (now Downtown Family Health Center at Connections) and the San Diego Trust and Saving Building on 6th and Broadway (now the San Diego Marriot). At the time, these were two of the tallest buildings in San Diego but in 2021 they are both dwarfed by nearby buildings. One of 23 connected postcards. Each of these images is printed on paper rather than a heavier cardstock, made to fold up inside covers of card stock. This mailpiece must have been produced between 1927 (when the El Cortez Hotel pictured here was built) and 1930, when the Bank of Italy changed its name to the Bank of America. Listed as image #29 with a postcard # of 30063 in the lower right-hand corner.
