This half-tone color picture postcard shows the palm garden on the terrace of the U.S. Grant Hotel at around the time of the Panama-California Exposition of 1915. It also shows a view of downtown San Diego and the Bay from the south-facing hotel, apparently from a room at the back of the terrace. Other postcards in this collection show the front of the hotel and the Horton Plaza indistinctly visible here, across the street. The approximate date is 1915.
