This is a Real Photo postcard, most likely self-published by either the person who took the photograph or a friend or family. The unidentified woman sitting on the settee on the other side is presumably the writer of this message. The Real Photo process allowed amateur or professional photographers to take "snapshots" and develop them at home or take them to photo finishers to print out onto postcard backs ready for mailing. The postage stamp was placed at an angle allowing the manufacturer of the photo paper to be discerned.
