This promotional piece from the Southern Trust and Commerce Bank is a blotter rather than a postcard, but has the size and format of a hand-tinted picture postcard. It shows an aerial view of San Diego from Point Loma stretching across the card from the Midway District on the right toward and including part of North Island on the left. The Broadway Pier (1913) is visible in about the center of the card, extending out toward a ship in San Diego Bay. The pier extending at an angle onto the left border of the card is the G Street pier, where the San Diego tuna fleet docked. The Southern Trust & Commerce Bank was started in July 1907 as the Southern Trust and Savings Bank, changing its name in 1917. This was produced between 1913 and 1917.
