In this aerial view of San Diego with San Diego Bay, the B Street Cruise Ship Terminal (and ferry terminal) and Broadway pier jut into the Bay toward the top left. In a diagonal line from these structures into downtown, a tall building with a gray front and darker side wings is just to the left of the middle of the photograph--in 2020 the Chase Building at 707 Broadway ( between 7th and 8th Avenues). Harbor Island can be seen in front of the airport runway. The photograph just misses Coronado Island, that would be on the left. In the distance, the Pacific Ocean is the body of water toward the top, with the mouth of the San Diego River indistinctly seen toward the right past Point Loma, with Mission Bay toward the top right. The publisher used the trademarked process Plastichrome, credited on the back of the card, during the 1950s.
