This color picture postcard shows a reproduction of the painting of Queen Henrietta Maria by Sir Anthony van Dyck (1599-1641), knight and court painter of England from 1632. Henrietta Maria of France (1609-1699) was queen consort of England, Scotland, and Ireland from 1625-1649, when her husband King Charles was executed. The reverse of the card states that the painting was "Acquired by Fine Arts Society of San Diego, California, 1939."
