A Bengal tiger, also known as an "Indian Tiger" as in the label on this black-and-white photograph, is lying down and facing the camera. He is presumably in his enclosure in the "San Diego Zoo," also identified in the inscription. The San Diego Zoo is in Balboa Park, San Diego, California. This is a Real Photo postcard (RPPC) made with EKC photo paper (as evidenced in the stampbox on the back of this card). The Real Photo process allowed photographers to take a "snapshot" and have it finished at a photo shop that printed it out on postcard backing for mailing. EKC photo paper was made from 1930 to 1950.
